Powerful Mustang Build in Progress

This Mustang build is shaping up to be an absolute powerhouse. When finished, it will feature a 408 cubic inch stroker Windsor-based Small Block Ford (SBF) engine, designed to deliver jaw-dropping performance. While the customer is still deciding between a single turbo or a twin-turbo setup, one thing is clear—he insists on pushing this Mustang to a formidable 1000 horsepower goal. To handle this immense power, we will install a Magnum T56 6-speed transmission that provides smooth, precise shifting for a thrilling driving experience.

Full Fabrication and Build Process

At JEP Autoworks, we handle every aspect of this build. From custom mounts to clearance modifications and everything in between, we’re crafting this Mustang from the ground up to meet the highest standards of performance and durability. As the build progresses, we’ll share updates regularly to keep you informed and engaged in this exciting transformation.

Engine Assembly and Preparation

Our team expertly built the short block and assembled the valve train, preparing it for installation. Before dropping the engine into place, we recognized the need to upgrade the Mustang’s front end to maximize clearance and improve suspension performance.

Suspension Upgrade for Clearance and Performance

We removed the entire stock suspension system and replaced it with a Heidts Mustang II front end—one of the finest suspension setups available for these cars. As an authorized Heidts dealer, we outfitted this Mustang with a proven suspension package that enhances handling and ride quality, while freeing up valuable space under the hood to accommodate the larger engine and turbo system.

Next Steps and What’s to Come

This suspension upgrade sets the stage for the upcoming installation of the powerhouse 408 stroker and turbo setup. We’re confident every component will work harmoniously to deliver ultimate performance on both the street and track.
